VCAA organizes cultural events through various art forms (e.g., visual, performance, culinary, and media) and storytelling to educate attendees about Vietnamese history, traditions, and contributions to American society. These events are held in accessible community venues in Tigard, Portland, and surrounding Oregon communities and occur multiple times throughout the year.

Collaboration with the Cambodian community to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon ~April 2026
Showing of the documentary “The Empathizer,” featuring over twenty millennial-aged Việt Kiều sharing their journeys back to Vietnam and the ripples that their reverse immigration may have caused among their families ~TBD

PAST EVENTS
May 16th, 2025: At Jeffrey Allen Gallery, VCAA proudly presents “Wishes for the Vietnamese American Future.” This event debuted the Mother Spirit Temple (Đền Mẫu Vân Hương) as a recognized Vietnamese artifact and cultural heritage practice, and celebrating its 50-year contribution to shaping Vietnamese identity in Oregon.
