The ceremony is in celebration of the 3rd General in the Temple. His statue is seen directly behind the incense bowl on the main altar, dressed in red on top and silver below. He has a tall gold hat and a long beard. He also represents the chairman of our temple. He signifies responsibility, clarity, leadership, and the ability to complete the work we set out to do.

The colors white or silver identify him in the temple. The 3rd General is from the water realm, in his songs he is said to command the seas and the ocean. As people are made of water, people often ask him to help make the “water” in our lives, through family, work, or home, be more gentle, or more decisive. As a General, people often ask for his guidance in authority or leadership. The swords that he dances with during the ceremony represent cutting away ignorance.
